Texas neurosurgeon accused of sexual harassment by female worker

A woman who worked for a clinic is claiming that she was forced to resign from her position due to a hostile work environment. The former administrator worked for a Texas neurosurgeon, and she is accusing him of sexual harassment. She claims that she endured being pressured about her personal life and sexual activity as well as a barrage of inappropriate text messages and inappropriate comments.

While she was out of state attending a tennis tournament, she claims she began to receive text messages from the doctor inquiring if she was meeting any men while she was there. While visiting a male friend, she alleges that the doctor sent her messages suggesting that she have intercourse with the man. The plaintiff asserts that when the doctor held a holiday party, he gave the female employees sex toys and then asked them take photos of themselves using them and then give them to him.

The neurosurgeon's lawyer stated that the entire reason for the lawsuit was because the plaintiff was trying to get money. He also noted that the doctor has a sturdy reputation and has been practicing for over 20 years. Furthermore, he asserts that all of the allegations brought forth by the plaintiff are baseless, and he intends to vigorously defend his client against them.

The woman is seeking to be awarded between $200,000 to $1 million for the sexual harassment she says that she endured. It is illegal for Texas workers to be forced to endure a work environment that is deemed to be hostile. If the submitted evidence properly documents the sexual harassment claims, a civil court may award monetary damages for specific items of financial damage.
